Matthew Vermillion and Ches Arms are creative problem solvers who bring together deep experience and expertise in their respective disciplines. Those skills, paired with their business acumen and leadership abilities, allow them to create powerful results for clients.

The Founders

Matthew Vermillion

Co-founder // Head of Strategy & Content

When Matthew started his marketing career, he was dubbed “the digital guy” in his first few jobs because he was already ahead of the curve on things like content marketing, digital strategy, and marketing automation. That paved the way for a notable career trajectory where he has gained deep expertise in copywriting, brand strategy, content marketing, team leadership, and management. He’s worked with companies including Apple, Transamerica, Oracle, and Comcast as well as a number of medium to large businesses across a range of industries.

He’s learned how to deliver results in various dynamic environments having served as a director of marketing for a Fortune 500 company, holding leadership roles in marketing agencies, and hustling as a freelancer. When he’s not building brands and creating killer content with Artifact, you can find Matthew playing bass in his Americana rock band or casually crushing it on the pickleball court.

Ches Arms

Co-founder // Head of Design

In 2017, Ches founded a creative studio where he began building stand out brands and stellar websites for clients. But that didn’t happen overnight. He launched his career in one of Denver’s most distinguished graphic design houses, which gave him the opportunity to learn from the best designers in the biz. With a firm foundation in graphic design, print production, and marketing, he went on to be director of marketing for one of Denver’s fastest growing home builders/developers where he directly contributed to a three-fold increase in revenue and an eventual acquisition.

In addition to being an elite graphic designer, Ches is also a devoted athlete, running in road races from 10ks to marathons. He loves all the “cliché Colorado” activities like road biking and snowboarding. And let’s not forget his most important role: dog dad to his goldendoodle Ruca, who you just might get to meet if you come see us at our office.
